What is This Tool?

An Australian TFN generator creates fictional 9-digit Tax File Numbers with valid check digits. TFNs are issued by the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) and are required for employment, tax returns, and financial transactions in Australia.

TFNs use a weighted checksum algorithm: each digit is multiplied by weights 1, 4, 3, 7, 5, 8, 6, 9, 10, and the sum must be divisible by 11. Numbers cannot start with 0. This generator produces numbers that pass the ATO's validation algorithm.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are generated TFNs real?

No. TFNs pass the check digit algorithm but are not issued by the ATO and not linked to any taxpayer.

What is the TFN check algorithm?

Multiply each digit by weights (1,4,3,7,5,8,6,9,10), sum products, and verify divisibility by 11.

How many digits is a TFN?

Australian TFNs are 9 digits. Older 8-digit TFNs are prefixed with 0 for compatibility.
